In Galway, NY this morning it was 2 degrees F with a wind chill of -20 degrees below 0 F.
...so naturally, you rode to work, right????

A balmy 21 degrees F in south Jersey this a.m. Killer wind, though. Any ghosts would have to make themselves heard over the wind -- it was rocking the house.

The dealership called, the V-Strom is ready to be picked up (500 mi service). Gonna have a fun time riding that home this afternoon.

I just don't think I could do it! I know I can ride a snowmobile in 0 degrees, but I just don't see it happening on the bike. My big fear is black ice. And snow flurries that can leave that tiny bit of a greasy coating.

So far, the coldest I have ridden in was about 35 F when I picked up Candy in April. Despite what everyone said about being able to get her during the week, I HAD to go that day. The dealership was only about 35 minutes away, I had polar underwear, wool, etc... just too cold.

Although - I will say it again - If New Year's Day is dry, I will ride. The polar bears have Lake George....
