PS I've got friends from all backgrounds and walks of life, before anyone starts flaming on me.
Thanks for the reply. I don't think I flamed you, because I did'nt accuse you of anything, just asked a difficult question. I appreciate your position, and I don't really have a comment on the gay marriage thing. My opinion on the school clubs thing, is that it is the School that banned the clubs, not the student. Why did the School ban the clubs? It sounds like the School was so strongly opposed to providing a gay club meeting place, that they would rather shut down most of the others in order to prevent gay teens from meeting on school grounds (such as what is done for all kinds of other student clubs). Too bad the School chose this route. Thanks, nice chattin'....., later. :)
No, not that you flamed me, I meant before someone else felt like flaming me, sorry I didn't write that clearly enough. The school banned the club because the principal, who had to approve all clubs, was anti gay and lesbian. Because of her position, we ended up losing things such as the Mountain Bike club, the Chess club, the A/V club, everything, except for the foreign language clubs and the History club. She's no longer there because it was such an unpopular position among the students and faculty. Nice chattin with you too...

Being a gay man, and a motorcyclist, it never ceases to get my interest that there is all this outcry over the Westboro Church and its wacky Preacher. Back a few years ago when that church preached its "Gays In Hell" gospel, and that America was being punished by God for tolerating homosexuality, I never heard a peep from anyone in the biker community. Once the church began showing up at solgiers funerals, there was all this outcry (and rightly so).
Are you just against the shameful disturbance at the funerals of fallen solgiers? or are you against the shameful, hate filled rhetoric of the church?

I'm glad that the Westboro Church finally woke people up, about who and what they really are.
I've got no problems with homosexuals of either sex. I work in a very liberal diversity supporting hospital in Boston with people from all over the world and one of its advantages and benefits working with so many different types of people. It's impossible to hate people once you know them.

Good point on the soldier thing. I would add that antiwar expression is being suppressed and war support propagated by bashing the 1st and hiding the 2nd behind 'supporting the troops'.

I fully support having clubs in schools promoting engaging in homosexual, bisexual, and lesbian relationships. I also support clubs in schools advocating heterosexual realtionships. It would sure make getting condoms to the kids who need them to prevent disease and unwanted pregnancies much easier.

I'm down for the National Association of Colored People. I'm also down for the National Association of White People. We are all in this together, right?

Oh, let the crazy church lady have her little demonstration. Then remind her that the instructions for and examples of evangelicals in the scriptures require invitations to witness. Evangelizing uninvited is Satan's work, because doing so directly disobeys not only the examples given, but also the direct instructions given. I'm sure she can figure it out if she thinks for herself.

Please don't shoot the messenger.
