What armor do you wear to work/school/shops?

You remind me of a semi-toothless redneck I once had to tolerate in Tennessee. He came to work one day with a Polaroid of a channel catfish of maybe 25-30 pounds, claiming it was the biggest fish ever caught on rod and reel. The next day, another coworker brought in a picture of a nearly 300 pound giant grouper he had caught the previous year on vacation. Ol' semi-toothless went off on him, claiming the picture was a fake. He sounded just like you lifeless bums, same criticisms.

I would tell you to get lives of your own, but you already seem to be somewhat alive, so I'll just encourage you to turn of the boob toob, shut down the computer, put your beer back in the fridge, and go outside and play. Once you actually get to doing something, be observant of what is actually going on around you, all day, every day. You might be amazed at what you have been missing all along.

who needs tv when we have your stories?

can you tell us about that time when you set yourself on fire then jumped your motorcycle over the grand canyon again?

Here's my 2 cents on the original subject...

That's a cool jacket that you have. I would wear it proudly everywhere you go. I always wear my gear and usually people will come talk to me about my bike. I like that kind of attention.

The only people who have given me negative vibes are the 5 year olds pointing and saying,"Mommy look! It's a space man!"

So don't worry about it. I guarantee you will pick up more chicks with your jacket on and your helmet in your hand then as the average joe in a tshirt and jeans.

I usually have my backpack (lots of reflective tape on it hehe), my jacket, boots, and in cold weather, I wear my chaps. Normally though, just jeans. (When I get money to blow I might get some sort of neat pants that are armored).. anywho.

My helmet lock came apart somehow and was lost on the road so now I have to lug my helmet around with me. When I go shopping, I don't like running around with my backpack on so normally at places I just ask an employee if I can stash my gear somewhere while I shop. I haven't had anyone object to this yet and it keeps me from getting questioned about my backpack when going through the checkout line.

In fact, I just went to wal-mart a few days ago and the guy who greeted me watched over my helmet and backpack that I put by the wall after asking him if there was a place I could put it.

As far as school is concerned, with your mention of lockers I'm going to assume you are in high school. I rode by bike in high school and just used the helmet lock at the time and wore my jacket around. Nowadays at the uni here, we don't have lockers or some such. I just wear my clothes and I've been putting my helmet under my desk or beside it on the floor.

If I had one piece of advice to give you it would be to not skimp on your gear at all. There will most likely be a day that you will be thankful for wearing it, despite what you have to put yourself through daily to wear it all.
