Yeah, I've heard the SV650 is a great beginner bike, but I've also heard it's too powerful from people who have tried it, it all just depends, definitely go to the dealer. For what it's worth, I'm 6'2" 300 lbs and the Yamaha FZ6 fits me just fine... so keep that in mind too as a possible candidate.

I think, you should go to dealers and sit on each bike you are interested in. Then listen to your heart
and decide which is the nearest to your needs.
And of course - I do recommend suzuki sv650. Not too fast if you treat it with respect. Fits me well, but I am 5'9" and 189lbs
VFR - great bike, I would say cannot be compared to SV. VFR is V4 modern bulletproof honda, but it is heavy touring machine. SV is light V twin, not so powerful street..

Kat 600 fits Me and im er....well extra fluffy.mattyboy wrote:Thanks for the input, would a Katana 600 fit me? I'm tempted to start looking for a VFR 750, but yeah it is pretty powerful.
Anyone else??

i paid 2100 for a 92 model with around 8k on it. Not the newest stylling. but drives well. might want to hunt for risers from a kat 750. they are a touch higher than the 600 models.
I've found myself a '95 katana 600gsx f for $2300 Canadian
Which is around $1950 US. It has 19,2xx kms (12,000 miles?)
It just had a full inspection and everything's in great running order. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow evening
so it's mine so long as I like how it fits
Unless someone beats me by an hour to get it....
