Did you convert from one brand to another?

#1 Unread post by grussem »

My first bike was a HD sportster 883C. I started seeing ads for Victory MC's and reading about them more and more. I had been wanting a bigger bike but once I took a test ride on the Vegas I knew I had to get me a Victory. Now I have an 04 Fully Dressed Kingpin that is an absolute dream to ride and is also quite the head turner. I was curious if anyone else switched from one brand to another and why. Ride safe! :D

I've now owned many Hondas, a few Kawasakis, two Yamahas and a Ducati. Limit yourself to one brand and you miss ALOT. Never owned an HD, a Victory or a Suzuki however, but I'm still young :P

An 883 is not exactly a Plush riding machine. Great for Zipping round town though....you never condidered a Roadking?

Those Victory Motorcycles look pretty cool, the Ness ones look good as well.

How about some Pix of yours?

My first bike was a Kawi and my current ride is a Suzuki. I'm not going to stick with only one brand, my next bike will probably be a Suzuki, Kawi, or Yamaha (Hondas don't float my boat for some reason)

I've changed brands a few times over the years in search of the "perfect" bike. I've also changed my riding style a few times as well and bought the bike that best suited it and fit my wallet at that time. To blindly stick to one brand limits your exposure to the rest of the motorcycling world - that perfect ride just might be the bike and brand you least expect. That's why I try to get out on factory demo rides a couple timkes a year just to see what the other companies have to offer. Right now I'm on a Harley and it is exactly what I need for my present riding style, but ten years from now I could find myself on a full dressed BMW... ya never know.

You wouldn't date just blonde women, so why ride just one type of bike. I mean you may really like blondes, but red heads are good too!

Try em all I say (bikes I mean)

Love knows nothing about labels.
Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?
