I own a 1979 Suzuki GS 750L that is in great condition. But the stepped seat is very uncomfortable and is beginning to crack and needs to be repaired or replaced. The pan is in great condition as the bike has always been stored inside. I would like to find a shop that can rebuild this seat in a way that would make it more comfortable as well as keeping the look of the original seat. Does anyone know of a shop that can do this? Another option might be to replace it with an after market seat. Does Corbin or Mustang make seats that will fit old bikes like this?
Thanks
Greg O.

I believe Saddlemen makes a new seat for the 750L, or at least a new cover. When I had my '83 GS650L, I looked at getting a new cover from them, but I wound up making my own, to take into account the modifications that I made to my seat and pan.
Check out Dennis Kirk for the seat cover.
The foam can be replaced by any decent upholstery shop that does car seats and the like; just take your seat into them as is and let them know what you want. they'll take care of the rest.
Here's what my 650L looked like before and after I replaced the tank and modded the seat.
