Favorite movies
Ditto to ApolloFrost, American Beauty is a great movie
LOTR trilogy, also my favorite books
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Star Wars, definitely not the new ones, but how can you beat sitting around watching old school Star Wars?
Ong Bak, the thai warrior is my favorite martial arts flick (I know I know Bruce Lee is the master but what can I say, I dig this movie)

How about the worst movie of all time? For me it's Event Horizon...never heard of it?Lucky you.

Great classic....just watched Rear Window, love it and all of Mr. Hitchcocks stuff.

Event Horizon? That's actually a good movie, especially when you watch it at 2:00 in the morning with all the lights off and all of the doors unlocked.
Even better when the house creaks.
My favorite movie is Huo Yuan Jia or "fearless". i think it's my sisters favorite also. I have never heard of American Beauty, whats it like?
Another movie worth mentioning is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, awesome movie 11/10. Try typing "the answer to life, the universe and everything" into google.

Uh, that would be 42...it is a very funny book, I only sort of liked the movie.
I think Event Horizon was just too gross for me, but it was a long time ago I just remember that I really hated it.

American Beauty is a difficult movie to describe, but I loved it. It has Annette Bening, Kevin Spacey, Mena Suvari, Thora Birch. I think it won Best Picture at the Oscars. But some people hate it too, you just never know.

American Beauty is a movie that you get, or you just don't. All the same, I like it.

Now hitchhikers guide was an awesome book, but I didn't like the movie at first. I just kept thinking "Great, another hollywood **** up that has nothing to do with the book it's 'based on' " then I realized that while it had nothing to do with the book it was actually a pretty good movie in and of itself, I just happened to be expecting something different.
I'm starting a petition to cull narrowminded dull people - be afraid Peter, be very afraid....

Personally I love Event Horizon, its one of the few films that provokes a reaction out of people, rather than just sitting in total blandness for 2 hours

Aside from that one,

Usual Suspects
Trainspotting
American Beauty
Shot Through the Heart (a uk and french joint film, that was never released here in the uk on cassette or dvd, and I don't expect to ever be shown again :x - but one of those few fims that actually makes you stop and think)

Well, my friend Doc and I went to see Ghost Rider. I didn't know it was going to be a comedy.

If you are going to go see this hoping to see lots of riding, you will be disappointed.
If you like special effects, you will like it.
It was a bit lame, but if you like comic book heroes, it will suffice.

However, some of the stuff in it made me laugh. So it wasn't a complete waste.

i DL'ed the trailer for ghost rider.

it looks really good on HD. and yes, i expected it to be an eye candy at the most. i don't really have high-expectations for comic and video game movies other than visuals and sound.

anyway... do movies in theaters come in HD format nowadays?

it's been a while since i've seen a movie in a theater.
