Congrats on buying a nice bike. Your season might be looking close but just east of the Rockies it's snowing like mad and cold..... You gotta love your B.C. weather..

I rode to work the last two nights, but with the rain coming down right now and this bit of a cold hanging on, tonight will be in the cage...

And I found out that my lights are enroute as we speak....

heh-heh, but now one week later and the Calgary weather is beautiful and that wack of snow is melting away. I've been riding the last 3 or 4 days... I always keep the driveway shovelled for the best chance of getting on the road early. Hell i shovelled some snow off the road for couple days to ensure go ingress and egress. (Nothing worse than biting the pavement 2-inches from home). Getting out of the suburbs is a little chore with some thick ice patches etc... a little snow, a little ice, a lot of fking gravel, etc... but hey, beats working, etc.

I even stopped the other day to take a pic of this kitty who's always sitting in the window of his quaint house watching traffic, or birds...

Today I lucked out running around doing some errands and tripped across the Ewan McGregor / Charley Boorman book, The Long Way Around for a steal of a deal. Karma for all my hard work shovelling. The main roads are almost so good you forget that certain side roads and shaded downtown nooks can be a real b. ... it's almost nice enough to ride a new bike, depending upon where you live in town. Definitely great on a dual-sport or small standard. Finding clean parking spots is tricky... I've been parking my whale in ice floes, or riding across the icey stuff to a clean piece of pavement, gravel etc... spring has sprung, but it'll probably snow in June again...

I'm sure the roads from 'Loops will ready soon... you can take the Hog-aroo out for a buzz to Lillooet!
