Just a thought, what do you any of you think of these pipes? I like the sound (although, it does kinda sound a bit like a chainsaw on steroids.)
price aint bad either.

hmmmm, I'm not so sure I like them. I think if the sound was more resonant and deeper, maybe. The way the 400/500 screams at speed, that might get a little annoying. I just showed the clip to DH (has the 400) and he didn't really take to them.
However, if you like them, go for it. We don't all have the same tastes

Hey Pete, I've seen a couple clips of Ninja 250s with some decent mufflers (since these engines on the ENs/VNs are derived from the Ninja engine). They made the sound fairly nice actually. I'll see if at the least I can find the name of the mufflers. If you go with a custom shop, you can get them to fit the mufflers to existing pipes, or go with new ones if yours are needing to be replaced.NorthernPete wrote:from what Ive been told on the Yahoo EN500 group the mufflers only amplify the engine noise. and most paralel twins are going to sound this way.... but I likes it. plus they look a little nicer then stock. If I could find a 2-1 exhaust I would consider that.
I found a few clips of mufflers for my 250 that made it sound great. Of course, mine's a Vtwin so that helps
