I would bet it is a comfort issue. I know I sure as hell wouldn't trust you to ride anywhere near me.

after that ride... i actually joined them again for 2 more rides IIRC.

they asked me if i wanna lead both times (actually the normal leader wasn;t there both times).

i said yes of course so i can go my own pace.

so maybe either they don't trust me to follow or they were being nice to let me lead and go my own pace.

but like i said... not all of them got upset. i think only 2 of them actually got upset, but those 2 are the leaders on the group most of the time.

Newbs (Dohun and Ja), things around here have a way of revealing themselves. Don't ask why, just sit back and observe.
Hey mister, i dont like being called a newb, I would prefer n00b, noob, oob, moob, nub or nubzor, but just not "newb" I hate that word. Please never call me a "newb" again.

oh verm, why is it that everyone seems to be so upset with you? I think your a cool person but maybe thats because we are both asian. and they're not. HOw does buzzz know how you ride?

AND TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER, too keep my posts on topic.

Thank you for sharing your good learning experience.

a few miles to 120 miles is a big step! nice

ATGATT = good
Inflated tires = good
throttle = extra good
quick head check = life saver
i dont think any bike on this planet has more than a thousand foot pound of torque?

and sure, Mr. Thomas, If I find someone to show me the ropes, I definately will the take up on the offer!
but, I must say, it sounds awkward when you say "I hooked up with a guy I met on the internet(words I hope to never hear from my daughter)". just wondering, how old is your daughter?

:laughing:

if you look at my latest vid... im still a slow rider as you can see.

Actually Verm, I did check out your vid there. It looks like you did well in taking lines through curves and you were much more consistent in your lane positioning. I was impressed, good job. I hope that at faster speeds you also apply the same technique. Your form should stay good regardless of the speed.

Hey newb, I'll call you whatever I want. Of course, you can still keep calling me "Mister", but you'll look pretty dumb :shock:

Tan, I apologize on behalf of all the participants involved in this threadjacking. It seems that trend is starting up, yet again.

My favorite part is that your sig says you're a woman.

Last time I checked being a newb was a good thing. Beeing a noob, or a nub was a bad thing. Newb implies you're new but still learning and willing to learn. Nub/Noob implies that you're new and unwilling to learn. I sent you a PM.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

No kidding, "newb" in my book was the polite way.

Dohun, settle down. You've been on the forum all day and several hours into the night. I'm not being an "O Ring" yet.

thats cuz i have been bored the past few days. Im not usually on this much just I have been given less stuff to do and I got nothing to do, I dont even have my permit yet I go riding two hours everyday to keep from exploding of boredom. My school in cali is pretty easy. I don't have much homework nor do I have any close acquaintances yet in my new school.

your not being an o ring yet? jw does that you usually are an o ring?
