Okay...so how 'bout we add in mileage? I'm in my 4th season of riding, but I have ridden about 28,000 miles so far.danial_1970 wrote:ok now that I have sat and read all the post in stead of the first page I feel the Thread need a new name change since out of the 9 pages that I read there is only close to maybe 2 pages with any body that has any time on the road. Heck the only reason I went into this thread was to find some people that have been riding and could have more knowledge than I do on a bike not a List of people that have either never rode or have less time on a bike that I have had here in Iraq which is almost 2 years.

My coworker just bought a '99 V-Star 1100 Custom with 3400 miles on it. In my opinion, that can't be good for the bike!JCViper528 wrote:sweet jesus i think I should ride less. The fact that I accumulated 25,000 in a year and a half can't be good for the bike...
If it weren't for the snow and the kids, the 30,000+ miles I put on my truck in one year would've gone on the bike. So, be grateful you are able to ride as much as you do.

I'd ride the hell out my bike if the weather permitted. 25,000 miles in a year and a half is quite a bit. If I were to spread the miles across all my rides, I'd easily rack up 20,000 miles a year. That's motorcycle, snowmobile, 4-wheeler, and my car. In fact, I bet I rack up 30k a year between all those vehicles.

I'm 64 years old and retired two years ago. I've been riding for over 30 years. (got a late startBx RedBull wrote:Thought it'd be interesting to find out who our real veterans are on TMW. So we know who we really should be listening to.![]()
Reply with your exact age and how many years (seasons) of riding you have under your belt.

51 years old and 30 seasons. I couldn't even guess at the mileage, my Triumphs mostly had tachometers.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.
