Looking forward to riding

#1 Unread post by ve3nef »

Hey guys, i've been reading here for a while, and its a awesome site. I don't have a bike yet, but i'm saving up for motorcycle lessons and later a bike. I can't wait!

I'm sure i'll be asking tons of questions, and its nice to know you guys will be sympathetic. I'm very interested in repairing and maintaining my motorcycle as well.

thx!

Allow me to be the first to say :welcome5:

Glad you found us. It's good to hear you plan to take lessons. What school is in Kelowna? V-Twin?

Yup, I'm not sure how much it costs though, and if I need my own bike. I visited their website to see, but it was pretty vague. I suppose I'll have to phone for the appropriate information.

I'm just wondering how hard its going to be to find a smaller used cruiser in kelowna... hopefully I'll get one with a good deal.

Usually the course includes the use of their bikes, and a helmet. You will be required to wear some kind of boot that covers your ankles. You will also need some gloves. The courses are generally run from about 800 dollars to a thousand dollars.

Kelowna is a pretty big place now. It's almost as busy with cars as here in the lower mainland. I was through there end of summer last year.

Welcome to the boards :)

Ive never heard of a motorcylce course not having bikes available, since most people taking those courses are getting their license for the first time and dont own a bike. But that doesnt mean it cant happen to you :) Good luck and let us know when you start shopping.
