I've never heard of a DB750, so I'm going to assume you meant CB750. In which case good choice, those are good bikes, very dependable, bullet proof engines etc etc.

What kind of back brake work does it need?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

77 Honda CB750. Miles I don't know because the odometer is broken. The bike runs. The guy rode it around.

Did you already buy it? Im sure there are better deals out there. Whats your ceiling (price wise).

EDIT: And let me just say, that even though the bike "runs" doesn't mean its not going to be a headache for you. The bike I got "runs", but it definitely needs work - the guy even slapped a dud battery in and supercharged it for my "viewing pleasure". Is Tampa too far out for you to drive or have someone deliver a bike to you?

I bought it. It leaks oil too but I don't give a siht. I'll get it put in my name tomorrow, I take the MSF next weekend. Then I learn how to ride the thing enough to get it to a repair shop.

Indie shop, I assume? Don't think too many Honda dealers want to touch a 30-year old bike...
