I think this is a 1998 model:

I would say to try that on the 650R, but now that you have that boat ballast off (they call it an exhaust canister at Kawasaki) the COG is going to be a tad higherNalian wrote:Holy wow, what is that?
Oh, and the VFR is fun! I was pretty surprised how well balanced it was - I could just sit there and lift my feet up (not on the pegs) at a standstill for quite a few seconds before starting to tilt slightly either way. That was pretty cool.
That thing is a freakin anchor! I couldn't believe how heavy that damn thing was..probably almost 20 lbs. I loves the new one though.Ninja Geoff wrote:I would say to try that on the 650R, but now that you have that boat ballast off (they call it an exhaust canister at Kawasaki) the COG is going to be a tad higherNalian wrote:Holy wow, what is that?

Sometime next week is lookin like bike on the road day.
When my finances get better I'm looking to get the V-Strom 650 ABS with hard bags... maybe the top box... and put a K&N air filter in it and some Michelin Anakees for all-weather goodness. Too bad it'll quite expensive from stock.Wrider wrote:*Points to first picture* OOOhhhhhhhhh, Shiiiinnnnnyyyyy! Can I have?
Oh, I sat on a DL650 and 1000 the other day, you're right guys, they're really incredible in their seating positions. Oh, and I noticed that Mike changed his avatar, did he decide on the DLs??? Sorry if I didn't notice, I was gone for a few days up to the gf's place![]()
