true...as are most things in life...planning and timing...thanks man...i may also do that...i'll just have to try things out and see what i like and don't like

well, the good thing is there are SO many options nowadays for bikers.

i bought one of these suits Image

and it's great for when it's really cold out (I live in uptate NY and ride until there's snow on the ground), and you can wear it right over dress clothes...plus i got it on clearance for less than $200. the only problem is that it's way too warm for me to wear over 50 degrees, but your mileage may vary... the cold doesn't bother me.

there's great stuff out there and you can get it cheap on the off season if you don't mind wasting time on the computer looking for sales frequently...

i think if i get overpants they will be mesh with armor. the mesh summer jacket i hjave is awesome...i can wear it even when it's 90 out..
