People suck sometimes!

#1 Unread post by NightNurse »

Saturday my boyfriend I were leaving a restaurant. He had to pop start his bike, and I was waiting at the other end of the parking lot on my bike and warming it up. This guy walks by. Looks at me, puts his hand on my bike, grabs my shoulder and says "Hey, can I get on your bike". I wanted to punch him, or head butt him with my helmet...But I was afraid he would shove me, and my bike would fall over on me. I said "Get the f*** away from me you moron", he asks again if he can get on "NO, GO AWAY YOU IDIOT"!!! Finally he walks away laughing! Argh.

My boyfriend didnt see this going on. If he had, he would have beaten the guy to a bloody pulp...

I dont understand what people are thinking! Or why its appropriate to touch a complete stranger. Now I remember why I prefer my pets, over people...

I am going to carry mace in my pocket. If this happens again, blast the moron in the face, punch him and ride off!!

I sure as hell hope this isnt a regular occurence.

Well people do. Just that the Ladies Forum is kinda like the girls restroom. Normally its only gaggles of girls that go in and out of there

One guy being an idiot, and you being a woman I am sure it's not the first time you have seen a guy being an idiot to get a girls' attention ... still very uncool of him.

Plenty of men do idiotic crap to get attention. This just scared the crap out of me. Especially being a new rider, to have someone come up and grab me on my bike was a bit apalling!

Plenty of men do idiotic "crumb" to get attention. This just scared the "crumb" out of me. Especially being a new rider, to have someone come up and grab me on my bike was a bit apalling!
I can't believe that... well you played it off nicely, and thankfully that guy was only being a jerk. Not some thief or pervert or something... yikes.

I've warned people before they've gotten to close to the motorcycle and I before, but if someone just appeared out of nowhere and touched me or the bike... he'd find himself in a wrist lock so quick he'd have no time to prepare for his kiss on the asphalt.

Some sort of self defense would be really useful, just in case ya know? So I think your idea is a good one.

If it were me, my first thought would be to the piece I'd have on my hip. He'd get fair warning to back away as I myself would have stepped off the bike to make space...if he continued forward, he'd be quickly bearing down on a business deal about to be struck.

Then of course you would be making a courtesy call to report yourself (if you did pull), which is in proper procedure in an event like that. "He approached, he touched, I warned, I backed away, he approached, I covered my piece ready to pull, he approached further, I drew...(the story can have several endings from this point on).

Wow, I like living in Canada even more as of today...

YIKES!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
