Got my permit!
Ok everybody, I got my learner's permit today and in a few weeks I'll do the MSF. DMV was interesting because I forgot my social security number at home, luckily I called up Greg my sister's boyfriend and he managed to find it for me. I passed the tests and now have my permit, yay me.
Tomorrow I'll call the local MSF and see about an appointment.

I'm starting a petition to cull narrowminded dull people - be afraid Peter, be very afraid....

Here in Ohio you're required to either have you SS number on your license (I think they're going to discontinue that, however) or you must produce the actual card for each and every transaction at the DMV. "Scan" lost track of his card a while back, and we had to wait until he received his new SS card just to get our new car registered with the state. Crazy...NightNurse wrote:You need your soc. sec card at the DMV? I just showed them my license.
Congratulations, Kitty on getting your permit. You're on your way now!
Cheers,
Loonette

The California written tests are so ridiculous its not even funny. The "practice questions" in the manual are like algebra, and then they ask you calculus on the actual exam. I failed the first time, but passed on the second one (able to take it back to back), but man - those questions were annoying.
