1981 Yamaha xs400
Does anyone know why if the bike starts up runs fine but when it is put into gear it just dies what can be worng any help would be great thanks

Or the clutch cable need an adjustment
Put it on the centerstand. Turn it on and shift to first. If it dies, suspect the first, if it doesn't, suspect the 2nd.
