8.00 Woke up and threw a pillow at the alarm
8.15 Got up and turned alarm off
8.16 Went back to bed
9.10 Got out of bed
9.45 Went to work on the SV. Frustrating. Wet. Slow. Traffic blockages on every corner
10.05 Parked the SV in the office courtyard
10.15-6.30 Sorry, mind has gone completely blank on this one
6.30 Came home from work on the SV. Blast up the by-pass. Nice!
6.40 Listened to BBC Radio 7. Crime Drama. Got bored. Turned it off
7.40 Cooked and ate meal. Listened to John Butler CD.
8.50 Susan and Jenny came round. Watched a Video, looked at some pics, planned out our fantasy futures
12.10 Said goodbye to Susan and Jenny
12.15 Went down to the PC in the cellar. Disappeared into cybersace
1.40 Remembered the SV was still out in the street. Brought it round the back
1.50 Disabled the alarm
1.51 Went to bed
1.52 Read an Indian short story from an anthology
? Fell asleep
Any suggestions for a more exciting life gratefully received.

Let's see. Today was busy and I'm surprised I'm still up, but I had to check my TMW.
Here's what I did (since Saturday is over for me):
* got up early (7:30am UAE time, which is 10:30pm NYC time, I think)
* Went to the Mall of the Emirates and went skiing for 2 hours. Seriously.
* Lunch at a fantastic Turkish restaurant.
* Caught a cab over Deira where there is a marketplace called the "Gold Souk". Spent a lot of time looking at things that sparkle and shine, almost bought a pearl & diamond necklace & earring set, but managed to exercise restraint.
* "Home" for a bit before getting picked up to go "dune bashing". Dune bashing involves getting loaded into SUVs and being driven around in the Arabian Desert at somewhat insane speeds. Wicked fun.
* After the dune bashing, we were taken over to a bedouin-style camp where the desert safari group made us a tasty meal (Indian cuisine) and we got to watch some belly-dancing.
* "Home"
* TMW a bit. Soon... bed.
Tomorrow we're headed to Abu Dhabi to actually do some "work" (i.e. sight-see for several hours then sit in a couple well-catered presentations given by companies that really really want us to work for them).

Today I rode solo. I covered about 120 miles. Mostly in the country. I stopped at Sonny's BBQ in Statesboro, Ga. and had a rack of baby back ribs for lunch. Statesboro is a college town so all the eaterys are manned by college hotties. (or should I say womaned by college hotties?)
After that, I stopped by an Auto Zone and bought a can of Sea Foam. I hear it's good for cleaning out the carbs and preventing major problems. Then I gassed up, poured some of the sea foam in the tank and hit the road again.
I rather like riding solo. It's not that I'm anti social, it's just that I enjoy the ultimate sense of freedom a motorcycle offers with the added joy of stopping when I want and where I want.

I got up earlyish today and got ready to go to the Yamaha Event.
Made sure hair and makeup looked for person picking me up.
Got gear on
Rode pillion to Mission
Wandered around looking at bikes
Had free coffee and doughnut
Watch bikes racing around on track (free track day sponsored by Yamaha)
Pouted while friend went on demo ride....kidding....I didn't pout...I went to the bleachers to watch the racers and then wandered around talking to people.
Tried on new helmet. I found my next one.
Tried on leather jacket...
I don't have a leather jacket..and Yamaha has a special promo...
Ate free lunch
Took photos
Then rode home
My day is not over yet....this evening I am going to a photo competition...I have an entry...
