0700: left for work
1600: left work
1615: haircut, finally!
1645: mowed lawn
1700: went shopping for the week
1900: grilled up dinner
1947: made this post
2100: head to coffee shop to hang out with some buddies

1545 Finally finished....at orientation
1600 Go to Job, walk around, more "orientation",
1700 Shop for rest of uniform..pants and shoes

1800 Home to feed abandoned animals - Dog ecstatic, guess he thought we wouldn't return
1830 Go out for sushi
2030 Sleep

I think it's still Tuesday in the States, so:

Tuesday:

8:30 - wake up and brekky
9:30 - scrunch, with 6 other people, into a LandCruiser to go visit Al Ain, an inland city in the Emirates that is less touristy than Dubai or even Abu Dhabi. Fortunately, one of the guys I was scrunched up against is hot. Unfortunately, he's also married.

10:30 - visited an archaeological site and looked at a bunch of Stone- or Bronze-Age tombs.
11:30 - visited a museum with lots of neat stuff about the Emirati culture and the history of the region.
1:00 - Tried in vain to get across the border into Oman. Not sure why we didn't just drive across (everyone else did), but our driver didn't think it was a good ideer, so...
1:30 - Hit the Al Ain souks for some really quick shopping. Bought a couple gold camels.
2:00 - Lunch. Lebanese food. Yum! (I don't understand the people I'm travelling with, though. They keep eating at McDonalds and BurgerKing.

)
3:10 - Out to Jebel Hafeet to look at some phenomenal scenery.
4:30 - Home to hang out a bit.
6:00 - Out to Dubai's Kalama shopping center to meet a friend. The intention is to go to the souks and do some serious shopping.
7:00 - Arrive at Kalama (lots of traffic), dinner.
8:00 - Attempt to head to the souks, only to be told by the cabbie that traffic is too bad to try it until 8:30 - 8:45. Start wandering to kill some time.
8:15 - Find a COOL park with the best playground. End up spending the evening doing night photography in the park and getting laughed at by a bunch of Indian children as we (a 28 y/o and a 25 y/o) had a blast on the toys.
10:30 - Home, to bed. Meeting with a former Ambassador to Oman, today (Wednesday), so have to be perky.

Only 3 more days here in the UAE, then off to Iceland. Whee!

6.00 am got in from work
6.10 am email and surfed for a hour
7.20 am went to bed
1.00 pm got up, ate
2.00 pm changed my rear wheel with another wheel with a spanking new tire,
3.00 pm went for a ride
6.00 pm friend came arround and I worked on his bike
8.00 pm Ate stuff
9.00 surfed the net....
11.00 gonna have a early night I gots for days off....whoop.

Yesterday was fun

1000 woke up
1300 started laundry because i had nothing better to do (even though i had plans

)
1500 finished laundry, vented to friend about so and so
1730 haircut
2100 sleep

yeah, exciting. w/e, got clean clothes and a haircut out of the day.

6 am.... beat the snot out of the alarm clock.... chit, shave, shampoo.... boogaloo to work....

7 am..... work....

6 pm..... bust out and get scarce.... run home with my tail between my legs....

7 pm...... stuff my gob full of Lana's fried chicken

7:30-7:30:25 pm.... sex

7:31...... drugs

7:35..... rock-n-roll

7:40.... what was the question?
