I'm profoundly bummed.

I can't go on my trip. My injuries are still too painful. The doctor has said no. Doc is still going to go as planned....which I am glad about. If I start to improve enough in a couple of weeks, I can fly out to the east coast and meet up with him to ride back with him. Fingers are crossed.

I hurt from sternum to spine along the whole right side including my shoulder and upper chest. Sheesh....
The physio figures the impact pushed everything and the body is guarding and compensating and it's just taking time for the muscles to calm down.

The doctor says I am off work for another month. I guess I will become an expert at Windows Movie Maker by the time I get better.

Blues - back to joining you :(. Im so freaking pissed!!!!!! I didnt push myself at all, didnt lift much, and only did a few short rides.

Today I could barely sit down or move without help, and cried most of the day. It was freaking awful!!!!!!!!! Just got back from urgent care, they did x-rays, and are sending me to physcial therapy. Also got lots of muscle relaxers and an anti-inflammatory.

My boyfriend and I had planned on leaving for camping this evening! We may go tomorrow morning anyway. He says I wont have to lift a finger. I will pack ice packs for my back, and we have a nice air mattress. I can drink beer and read all day. I REALLY need a mental break, before I lose it...

No riding for awhile. Im also off work till further notice. Crap. Rent is due soon and a zillion other bills! Hopefully workers comp will give me some $. I need to call them Tuesday. If not, Im so lucky to have a very understanding boyfriend who will take care of the bills till I can get better, or find a non-physical job!

If the camping was more than just the two of you, maybe he can go with the friends and you can get some alone time, peace and relaxation with the rest of the weekend?

Sleeping on any air mattress stinks compared to a real bed, especially your own bed.

Nope, just us two! Actually an air mattress sounds much better than my bed. Mine is WAY to soft! I'd like to buy a new one.

We are going anyway, about to leave! Have a good weekend.

I was in a collision and I got a couple of fractured ribs....and then all the muscles in the surrounding areas started tightening up to the point where it hurts like heck.

I am starting treatment now so I hope to fee l some improvement soon.

Thanks for asking. :)
