Thank God for Disc Locks!!

A good friend of mine has been dying to ride for quite a while, and just purchased a 93 vt 600 as a starter. He's signed up for the MSF sometime in July and he was very anxious to start riding. So of course we made the mistake of taking him to a parking lot, setting up cones and spending an entire weekend there. By the end of it he'd gotten pretty comfortable...

Luckily he stores his bike in my garage, but it's an apt building and you can enter with a buzzer code which he knows. Yesterday I got a ranting raving call from him about how he couldn't move the bike, thanks to my disc lock I'd put on it.

I don't think that lock is coming off till after his MSF

atta boy, like taking the keys away from a drunk. You probably save his skin or his life.

good thing he wasnt able to jump on and try to go not seeing the disk lock that would had been bad

ive never actually seen it happen, but i always hear storys about it. usually involves a bar, young guy, high end sports bike. forgets to take the disc lock off and goes to take off fast to impress everyone only to go face first into the ground in front of the crowd ; )
