i have a good question, everytime i plug headphones in it shocks me(from the headphone jack) and everytime i try to unplug/plug in something to the back it shocks me. are machines rebelling or is my pc just rude?

Move to england, we have 3 pin mains plugs, so the casing is always earthed separately from the power itself

We have that here too. Problem is that *you* aren't always grounded before touching the grounded case

Limewire works most of the time for me and I have about 800 songs from Limewire (years ago). I wouldn't recommend using limewire anymore because hackers are programming viruses into the mp3 itself.

I am going to look in the library. If they don't have it, I will go to itunes and purchase it. I think I can afford a dollar.

Be careful with iTunes.

Unless you're downloading one of the new, more expensive, DRM-free tracks, you cannot listen to the file EXCEPT in iTunes or on an iPod, so you can't import it into slideshows.

Even if you do get a DRM-free track, it's AAC encoded, not an MP3. Your slideshow program may not be able to import AACs.

It's getting more complicated and more dangerous (spyware and malware) finding music online these days. There are no really "easy" ways the way it was easy when Napster was big. Bittorrent and newsgroups are fairly complicated and straight P2P programs like Limewire either hardly work or come with massive amounts of spyware.

Wow, my Creative MP3 player must be broken. It'll play any files ripped or downloaded from iTunes (even with DRM). I'll turn it in as defective asap.

Only iPods and iTunes can play traditional tracks downloaded from the iTunes store, and that's a fact. Your Creative player can play the DRM-free tracks and it can play tracks that have been ripped from a CD with iTunes.

The only way to get an encrypted iTunes track onto a non-iPod MP3 player is to burn it to CD and re-rip (and re-tag) it or to illegally break the encryption (I'm not sure if that's possible yet).

Actually well over a year ago, I seem to remember reading that iTunes decided they wanted to provide content to all mp3 players, not just limit their market to the iPod. As far as I can remember they were going to open their DRM content for other player manufacturers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sev could play it just fine
