Hello from Winter Park Colorado

#1 Unread post by warren »

Hey everyone, I am new here and a new rider. I recently completed an MSF course and have had my licence and bike for 2 and a half weeks. I ride a yamaha fz1 and in the past few weeks have put 1800 miles on it! I can't wait to ride more and have a trip planned to Michigan next week. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Glad to hear you're being super careful.

It's amazing how fast the mileage creeps up. :)

The mileage is super crazy. I am in the middle of a big trip and I now have 4500 miles in one month! It has been so much fun though. I have loved being on the road on the bike instead of my car!

Welcome to the forums man.

Btw, love Winterpark. Was up there a couple years ago snow skiing and absolutely fell in love with the place.

It is gorgeous in Winter Park. The skiing is great and there is a lot to do up here in the summer too! The few paved roads we have in the area make for some great riding.

How was your trip to Michigan? My wife and I are planning on a ride from Evergreen to Grand Rapids, via the ferry in Milwaukee.

My trip was super fun! I am glad I took the extra time to ride through the black hills and the badlands. If I had it to do over I would probably take the ferry too. I really want to cross the lake that way some day.
