95 YZF600R Issues

#1 Unread post by axeman »

For some reason my fuel pump wont come on by itself when I turn on the bike. I had to hotwire the fuel pump to my battery with a switch so now it stays on all the time when I'm riding, but I'd rather have it come on on its own if possible. Any ideas?

buy a heli coil KIT, its a threaded insert, that screws into the damaged thread, JB weld will not work, or worse fall in to the engine....no0t good

the fuel dosnt pump all the time, it will run intimitantly as the bike needs fuel,

About the fuel pump, what would make the fuel pump not come on by itself. The pump is good, is there a relay inside the tank that could be bad or something? I tried chasing the 3 wires that connected to the pump, it looks like they go to the ignition, but I don't know.
