Good rides in Texas?

I recently moved from Tampa, FL to Fort Worth, TX. I have been trying to find good rides around the area. I would love to find some back roads through the hill country or a good ride over to a state park to do some hiking once there. Does anyone know any places around the area that would be fun?

There are some great roads south of Ft. Worth. Take 157 south to Maypearl and go west on 916 through Grandview and Rio Vista. Keep going west on916 along the Brazos and up to 1434. Go west on 1434 to 200. Go west on 200 to 67 and into Glen Rose and have some Bar-B-Q at Hammonds on 67. Hope this helps. Bill

Go to the Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Bandera, Lake Hills, and all around that area. Have fun.
