Does this exist??

My biggest fear in a car and aswell on a motorcycle is being rear-ended after a sudden traffic jam on the highway. I was riding passenger in my brothers car one time and we stopped quickly at a sudden jam. The person behind us was rear-ended by someone going the spead limit or above and not noticing the jam until too late. The person behind us was hit soo hard that we got hit too! These are the thoughts that keep me up at night. For a biker, a wreck like that is deadly.

Which got me to thinking: is the some sort of pulsating rear light device that can draw extra attention to a bike that is stopped and in the same lane? I am likely to move to a state where lane sharing is not legal, so this issue really concerns me.

Hyperlites also make a brake/tail light modulator. Another trick to help stay safe is to nevernevernever stop behind a car IN THE CENTER (where the license plate is). You have less of an escape route when you do this.

I always make it a habit - especially in stop and go traffic - of riding where I can see the face of the driver in front of me in their side mirror. AND I check my mirrors frequently.

Don't put your bike in neutral when you stop at traffic lights - the extra fraction of a second to get in gear if someone is coming up too fast may mean the difference between getting out of the way and getting hit.

i remember online looking for a tail light i believe the number is 1157 or something (ill look into it later) look on ebay i saw some that like the leds made a twirling looking light and it also flashed etc

Keep plenty of space in front of you in traffic. This allows you more time to stop and more time to warn traffic behind you. Give your brake light a flash every couple of seconds (but keep it on more than off!). Have an escape move in mind as traffic is approaching from behind. If it looks like the next car is coming in too fast, get away by riding to the side of the car in front of you. That small move is not considered lane sharing - it's called saving your behind! Avoid construction zones if you are aware of them - they're a pain whether you're in a cage or on a bike. With the expected pileups that they create, you'll probably have a safer, more enjoyable ride by staying away from a construction zone.
