Maintenance on a Ninja 250cc

#1 Unread post by gunbait »

I'm looking into buying a Ninja 250cc. I was wondering how high the maintenance is on them, how much it would cost, and what I would have to do to the motorcycle.

Thanks

Ask the dealer ;) They'll be more accurate then we will.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Yeah, but half the time, they'll want you (me) to spend more money, and buy their products for something that might never happen (well, that has happened to me a lot in the past, so I've come to no trust sales people)

...

What?

You go to the service desk and ask how much a "first service on a EX250 will be." They will give you a number somewhere in the range of $100-300 most likely.

Oh, alright... I've just never really trusted sales people. 90% of the time they try giving me crap I never will need

I don't think dealership service desks work like that, gunbait, at least not here.

At the two dealerships I've brought bikes to one had a big binder and the other a computer program with their price list.

I want to say my 600 mile service on my ex250 was about $249, although I can't remember for sure. It's definitely not cheap. I do understand prices are regional so it could be cheaper where you live.
