I'm sure you all have your favorite roads and I just found mine. RT 8 just over the Conn border at the base of the berkshire mountains in Mass. A wonderous sign greets you as you enter.
-=Sharp Curves next 14 miles=- And it runs along a river to boot.
Kinda hard to carve it up with the shadow, but I did my best.
I found my road

Well then. Best way to get to vermont that I've found in that county would be to get yourself to rt 112. It turns into 100 in VT. Rt 9 is also in that area, take it east to I-91 if need be. A cool place to check out is Savoy state park. It's a dirt road to get to it, but it's fairly well maintained. There's a little lake/large pond and small picinic area, nice place to wind down a bit.MrGompers wrote:I'll have to check out those roads when I have more time. Kool I've wanted to check out VT rt9 for & VT rt100 for a while now. Problem with me is I tend to sleep late. I'd have to be up early to ride that far and back in one day. I would probably take I-91 back all the way to Hartford too.Ninja Geoff wrote:Well then. Best way to get to vermont that I've found in that county would be to get yourself to rt 112. I've always enjoyed NY state route 22, runs parallel to the CT, MA, and VT state lines just over the border. Start around Amenia, NY (west of Torrington) and run north as far as you like. Pretty views of the Berkshire and White mountains just to the east.
