Vibrating helmet :(

#1 Unread post by natashap »

I just got a windshield for my 2002 V-Star 650 and had it installed on Friday. I am kind of disappointed though. When I get up to speed, my helmet literally vibrates. I only rode for a little bit with it, but I'm guessing its the wind hitting my head. It's a shorter windshield - 16" I believe. Any suggesstions?

Take the windshield off, adjust the angle, raise or lower the height, get a taller or shorter windshield, or just live with it.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Adjusting the angle out or moving the windshield up to get the wind to either go over your head or be more disrupted will help. Aside from that, do what Sev says and get a bigger one or live with it... I had a Vulcan that did that. It would give me a headache after riding for a couple of hours. Very uncomfortable.
