First year riding, 29 years old. $236CAD for PLPD. Not sure what full coverage would cost. No increase when I switched from my 400 to my 750. From what people tell me, if I went higher than 750, the price would increase, as it's based on cc's. Not sure if there is a differen't bracket for super sports, but I know someone that has a cbr 900 and is only paying $350 for basic.

Duffy, for comparison. I was quoted $883/yr for '06 Ninja 250 w/ $500 deductible through Amica. '04 Suzuki GS500 quote was $1293/yr. This was full coverage with 10% MSF discount.

I guess Mass just has high insurance then huh :crybaby: I wanna go see my insurance agent anyway cuz I recieved 3 different copies of my coverage form that contain my bike and car and each one has a different total  And now they are charging me more for my car....wtf? I don't trust them, I think they are up to something. I paid in full for my bike to try to lessen the insurance hit. But just in case I kept the full coverage anyway for this year. Next year when the value of the bike really goes down I'll take off comp.

On a side note. Do you really live in Boston or in a town near there? Closest I have ever lived was in Somerville years ago.

Yeah, I live in Boston (South End). Insurance sees my zip code as being Roxbury. This is probably the reason for higher insurance. My car insurance went up quite a bit when I moved here from the 'burbs. In fact, it just went up $23 for some reason.

I'm dissapointed in how much motorcycle insurance will cost me. Guess I should move to NH or something.

I met a guy from Somerville in my MSF class. He pays $2000/year for insurance on his CBR 600RR
