alrighty...what do u all know about the 1981 Suzuki GN400....good bike? what are common problems...good things and bad i want it all im looking at one that i might buy for about 600$....thanks in advance
ok just have a few more questions...im about 215lbs would this bike handle me? being only 1 cyl. i would think it would struggle...how about me and another person on back? anything about the bike would help...thanks...
Well its a little bike so at 215pds you might feel cramped on it, how tall are you? Riding 2 up can be done, but it will be pretty tight. You might wanna consider a larger bike if you will be doing alot of 2 up or freeway riding.
If most of your riding is going to be around town, then it should be enough power to scoot you around. 2-up riding comfort will depend on how big your passenger is...but it will likely be a tight squeeze. Id go sit on the bike if I were you and see how it feels.
You might want something with a larger frame for 5'10"/ 215 lb. It could probably handle it but I think you'd find it cramped. Two people definately would feel cramped. I ride one and its fun, but I think a 650 would have all of the same advantages and more power to move around with.
Back in the 1970's I'd ride double with may wife on a 125 Benelli. It can be done- you just have to take your time.
The highway- my GN400 likes it up to 65, can do 70 but vibrates all over the place above that- It is easy to work on and parts are available at bikebandit.com. You'll be the slowpoke on the interstate.
