Lots of good info posts...

#21 Unread post by spoiler »

Haven't visited my forum in quite a while... lots of good posts in here. I have found out some more info.

There are some new colors as usual... There's 2 new Reds coming out. One is called crimson, and the other is a candy apple red, both are GREAT looking colors.

The Crimson will come in a denim version for the FLHX, so I assume it will also be available on the FXDB, the FXSTB. The candy apple red is really intense. It will sell really well.

There is also a new DARK blue, a dark gun-metal blue. Looks alot like the gun metal blue from 03, just much darker like slate blue. Don't know the name.

The person who posted te eliminated bikes is correct. They are getting rid of all those... surprising regarding the FXSTSC and FXDWG. If he didn't mention it, they're also getting rid of the Night rod. No more black frames I guess.

I also read that there are several new models... a redesigned wide glide with a new name and lower price tag, an FXCW and an FXCWC... who knows what those are? Rumor has it that the V-rod will will now be 1147 cc up from 1130.

Rumors are flying... but to answer another guys question on here, the info release date is July 8th-15th for dealers at the dealer show, and the Harley website will change over to "2008" sometime after 12:00 MTN on July 15th. Just keep checking the site during the day, and it will eventually change to 2008.

Thanks to the guy who posted the pics of the V-rod dresser. I've seen it with a tour-pack as well, very cool, that's what I was referring to in my earlier post... fully dressed.

Thanks for all your posts... Keep em coming! Spoiler.

Spoiler,
Thank you for the info. The new bright red sounds nice. Can't wait to take a look.

Have you heard anything about ABS showing up on the baggers for the public?

Thanks again,
J.R.

There's an answer to that question in our Harley Owners Discussion Corner, in the "New '08 Model Spotted" thread.

You need to join the Harley Usergroup. Click on Usergroups under the banner at the top of the page. The bottom drop down box on that page will be the groups available to join. Scroll down to the Harley Owners Group and then click on join. The mod for the group will then either approve or deny your request. (You might want to be extra nice to gummie.... )

the model eliminated i believe to be all wrong. Have see a 2008 wide glide mentioned. also have see a road king classic. I know the duece is gone but not what else. the color list looked 75% all new. or at least all new names. cant wait to see what a FXDF is.

Hey, sorry, I neglected to mention, I heard there are 2 new names... the Rocker, and the Rocker custom. As with all rumors, it's just hear-say, but we'll find out July 15th.

I don't know if the "rocker" is the "FXCW" I mentioned earlier, possibly. Makes sense though.

I agree with the guy who posted that he didn't think the wide glide would be eliminated... makes no sense to me either... it's a big seller, but who knows.

But you were wrong on the Road King classic... I didn't say Classic, I said the Road King Custom. (Another poster said it, I agreed). Rumor has it, these models are being eliminated, it's not a fact.

I haven't heard about the Buell dirt bike, but it sounds like a good marketing idea, if it's affordably priced.
