There's abosolutely nothing glamorous, thrilling, or fun about dragging silage in. Where my cousin's farm is there is very little flat land. The equipment is old, the roads are crappy, and the nearest hospital is at least 25 miles away - no police or ambulance service either. Heat, dust, work, wait while someone fixes or welds a part, work some more, etc, etc, etc.
First, did you break in your tires slowly during the first 100 miles or is there anohter method when on the road? I used to think they didn't really need it, but I was wrong as I discovered on a corner. I didn't go down but it was close.
I've been thinking of my someday next bike and would like one that does not require a corbin or mustang seat just to ride 300 miles or more. Seems most do. I don't know if its cheap foam or something else.
Second is, what type of Honda are you on and is it suitable for touring out of the box with only a few inexpensive add ons? Tank vinyl bag, rear vinyl bag etc... I know you had a few mods due to your arm so my quesition doesn't address those costs.
