italjet engine removal.

#1 Unread post by welshlass »

Hi, all this is my first post so hi to all.

My question is this.
I have a 02 plate italjet dragster 125 cc,the waterpump has gone and i require to fit a new one.
W here can i get one for a start?
Any ideas of how i go about the removal of this engine?
some one mentioned to me i will have to split the case, what ever that means?
Any advice would be superb.
Manythanks chaps, sarah that

The best place to find a new waterpump (or the parts to rebuild yours, most likely) is the dealer.

Many motors have the pump on the outside of the cases and don't require engine removal. But some bikes have the pump internal to the engine (yours sounds like this, but I am unfamiliar with your bike) so you have to basically dismantle the entire engine to access it. No small task, and not something to be undertaken without proper ability.

You will probably be better off having a shop do it.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
