Hi- I'm glad I found your forum. I finally bought a motorcycle and got my license a year ago. My wife suggested it to save on gas. My mom would never approve but I'm under new ownership now. I love riding because its a natural extension of my bicycling passion. I can commute 40 miles each way to work on 1/3 the fuel as my pickup. I take all sorts of back roads coming home. A lot of the guys I work with ride too, and we often cruise together. I own a 2000 Suzuki LS 650 Savage and it seems like a great first bike for me. Friends called it a "girls bike" but I like its lightness and agility and it serves my purposes admirably. I am reaching the point where it seems a little cramped, I'm 6'2" 230lb, so I'm thinking about a future bigger machine. I am researching the possibility of building a small utility trailer to tow behind for groceries and hauling yard waste to the dump etc. Looking forward to gleaning many ideas and inspiration from your group.
