try scraping your knuckles, slowly, along the pavement for 12" and see how it feels.

Now, imagine the same thing at a much higher speed and lasting alot longer.

I was talking to another rider at a shop one day and he was admiring my Joe Rocket "AlterEgo" jacket, with it's zip-off outer shell that leaves you with a summer weight mesh jacket underneath with all of the armour still in place. Then he had the nerve to tell me he owned a leather version I was unaware of, the "SuperEgo". Hind sight being what it is, I would love to have bought that one instead...

i'm not sure why you're jealous... you have the option to ride with minimal gear to...

you have to decide what's most important to you, looks or protection. in deciding, consider the level of risk you're willing to assume... if you like the looks of wearing less gear and are willing to assume the risk of more injury in an accident, then go for it. however, if you're not willing to assume the risk and want to wear full gear, then do it and don't worry about what you look like...

as anarchy said, they're kevlar lined jeans. you can pick up a set off ebay for cheaper if you watch. i got mine for $40.00.

if you're going to go new i would look at the harley jeans. i took my brc from a harley dealership and they gave us a little bit of time to look around the store. they have kevlar lined jeans that are branded harley. i didn't get them because i wasn't sure. after getting my draggin jeans, i don't really see any difference between the two. except the harley jeans are in the stores (who doesn't have a harley dealer within driving distance) and they are cheaper. but make sure they are the kevlar lined jeans. they have just regular jeans there, do don't get confused.

I wear my leather jacket all the time, leather gloves (saves the manicure), full faced helmet, chaps and boots... I want my skin to stay on me.. not the road. When I go to the gym, the owner is always happy to hold my helmet, jacket and chaps behind the counter. Just ask.. can't hurt.. right?
