Where can I have a helmet customized?

#1 Unread post by strohS »

Hey guys, quick question,

Is there a website where I can choose a helmet and send in a design or something? I've been googeling for a while and only found one site, wondering if there are any more. I would really like to match my bike.

You also might want to contact a guy on here who goes by his store's name, custom bodywork and paint and such, I think it's BeyondThePaint or something along those lines...

Needed 1 set coloured magic markers, 1 can clear paint, 1 Quart Bushmills (Jack for southerners,CC for you guys up North) Don't use corn liquor as this will make magic marker run.

Drink 1/2 Whisky then let your artistic side come out on helmet via magic markers. If you don't like design drink rest of whisky before clear coat. ( in morning you will be to hung over to care what your helmet looks like)

Seriously there are helmet skins that streach over and temporary stickers (graphics) made for helmets. Don't remember addy, but they do have flames. Also might want to employ a good airbrush (muralist) artist to do it. Just remember not to paint over DOT or snell sticker.

If you want more than one quote, send me an off line email with your design and I can get a price for you from the guy who painted my bike and helmet. IMO, he's freaking awesome.

Wow, thanks everyone, some great sources of information here, I appreciate that, I'll check out beyondthepaint thanks Jim, and i'm also interested in sending you a design Meanie. That may be easier.

Okay, thanks again.
