New Virginia Rider

Hello everyone,

I’ve been lurking on the board for a few weeks and decided to officially join.

I took an MSF course a couple of weeks ago – mostly because I thought it would be something fun to do on the weekend – and completely loved it! (And, I passed!) Since then, I’ve just been trying to learn more about riding and in the process, I stumbled across this forum. And, I'm so glad I did - I've learned so much from you all.

I think my next step will be getting the rest of my riding gear while continuing to look for a used bike. I have a helmet and gloves, but I haven’t figured out the jacket, pants and boots, yet. In the meanwhile, I'm on the look out for a used Virago 250, which is the bike I rode in class and felt very comfortable riding.

So, that’s my situation in a nutshell. I'm looking forward to more great advice and insights. Thanks!

The 250 Virago's are good little bikes.....but if you can't find one, Honda Rebel may be another good choice.
