Has anyone failed or seen someone fail the MSF Course?

#1 Unread post by Brackstone »

I was curious to know if anyone has failed or seen anyone fail the course.

I'm just wondering if it takes more than studying + determination. Are there people truly not cut out to ride a motorcycle that only find out when they start taking the course?

I'm just curious how much of a surprise I might be in for when I first sit on the bike :)

Yes people have, and will fail.
It's not a gimme that if you pay your money and show up that you will pass.

We had a lady fail in my class. She was having a aweful time with confindence. She dropped the bike several times and had a hard time with turning control.

A guy in my class failed...he dropped the bike on the emergency stop exam.
I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.

man... no one in my class failed... This one guy took like forty feet to do the blue box and he dropped his bike in an earlier swerve maneuver. if youre a man with an able body and have driven standard transmissions before it shouldnt be a problem. just remember they push you for a reason... everyone can ride slow in a straight path. practice your skill that they teach you.

Two women failed the course I took, and another dropped out. I think their problem was lack of confidence.

It was sooo frustrating getting stuck behind them when doing parts of the course because they did everything at like 10 mph :x

that reminds me that 2 girls, both who dropped the bike, were allowed to pass. i thought that was supposed to be an automatic failure, but... i had points deducted on the turning in the box part, and she dropped it, but got to go again and did it right, so no points deducted.

kinda a farce.

I think dropping the bike during the evaluation is an automatic fail.
