I wish, one was a 383 4-speed and the other was a slant-six auto granny only drove it to church and the store on Sunday.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I would have tried to avoid hitting dad's then-new '74 Caprice Classic with my sisters CT70.......MattC13 wrote:If you could go back what would you have done differently?

Yah, my grandmother had a purple 'Cuda with the big fishbowl back window and the slant-six. Would be worth a *mint* right now, but it rusted to pieces. All the Bondo in the world wouldn't have saved it. (Do they still make Bondo?)
Back on topic: I'd have gone with a smaller 1st bike, instead of the 800cc Intruder. Woulda had a lot more fun that first season, instead of scaring myself half to death wrassling it through the corners.
Also, I'd have gone with the modular helmet straight away. The cheapo three-quarters with the snap-on face shield was dorky looking and only slightly better than a do-rag, protection-wise. Eventually I realized most of the worst-case scenarios involve landing on your chin -- why not have some plastic there?
