I don't know about anybody else, but I'm willing to let this go until next time. He'll be a bit older, maybe mid-50's or so, which should add the "dirty old man" flavor to the proceedings. And maybe he won't have as much celebrity shielding him by then, or the deranged gunman will actually get in there and do his job.

i often wonder where the jurors in major trials come from.the woman in south carolina who put her 2 kids in a car and rolled it into a lake drowning them escaped the death penalty because jurors felt sorry for her.right here in our fair town an attorney hired a hit man to blow his wifes head off with a shotgun as her 2 kids sat in the car with her.the jury felt sorry for him so he gets life in prison.

I don't understand how we can have the audacity to call it the "justice" system. I see it more as a political/financial/negotiation exercise. The only times I feel justice has been done is if the clearly guilty party is executed in the courtroom [very rare], in the streets[occasionally], or in jail by another prisoner, or even by "suicide." In all these cases, actual justice is accomplished to a degree. The injured parties can't be compensated, but repeat offenses are at least eliminated.
Justice, as practiced in the courts, is pretty much dead in America. Just another historic artifact.
