Another Newb Friendly Sport Bike?

#1 Unread post by JC Viper »

I was reading my new issue of Roadbike and there was a Suzuki that caught my eye. It is the GSX650F and it seems to have more in common with a GS500 than with the GSX-R600 it was modeled after. I has a more upright seating position, the engine doesn't appear to be too high strung and it has a large fuel tank.

Looks like something good for the new riders who want that sport bike look.

I do believe that's the redesigned Katana. I would imagine it has a touch more punch than the GS500. It might be a touch much for a true newb, it would probably be on the more powerful end of the "gray scale". I've never rode one, and I don't know how much power it puts down, so don't listen too hard to me.

The mag said it's more versatile than a Gixxer with it's upright seating and increased tank range but it also stated that it has more in common with the GS500 than the it does with the Gixxer so I am curious on how it's power delivery is.

I'm waiting for someone to ride the thing and write a review on it cause I know I may want one if it suits my needs. Maybe throw in a review of the B-King just for entertainment as well.

Maybe it's just me, but it looks a lot like a Bandit with different fairings. It seems like the specs are similar too.
