Honda Shadow Foot Control Brake Light Not Working?

I have an 06 Honda Shadow Spirit and i recently noticed the brake light does not come on when I use the foot brake. Is that normal? I didn't notice any kind of an obvious switch anywhere around the controls to trip it either.

You might look to see if your switch is out of adjustment. if you look at #8 on the picture below, you'll notice that this is a switch that turns on your brake light when you hit the pedal. I know this because I just had to adjust mine this weekend. Seems as though it got screwed up when the PO dropped it.

Found the problem. The spring was actually attached to the frame. Not sure how but once I moved it to the tab on the brake arm it works great. The guy before me apparently had no rear brake light.'
