Hey guys, just wanted to say HI, and I am new here. Not new to cycles. My first bike was a Yamaha Seca 650, and am now driving a V Star.
Anyway, I actually have a "help" question. I just recently picked up a little Yamaha 80 dirtbike for my two children to ride around our yard on. It'an older model. But I want to find more info on it, in case I ever need to repair or replace parts on it.
I don't know the year or anything. I did manage to pull a couple "serial" numbers off the bike.
Off the Frame: 367-205812 (this number was located up near the front forks)
Off the shift (left) side of the engine: 2F4 - 110715
That's about all the info I have. The number 80 is in silver on the side of the exhaust pipe.
Let me know if you can help me out.
Dan

You either need some more numbers or its pre 1980.
DOT made 17digit vin numbers mandatory in 1980.
The 2FO part will give you model. should be possible to search Yamaha and find ou exactly what you've got.
