Yeah, so in about seven hours I will be in MSF class. I'll log on after and let ya'll know how the first day went.
Y'know, and hopefully I won't end up with PTSD after.

Alright, so I was stressing out a few days ago, I walk into the classroom at 8:30 or so in the morning, and after that it was a breeze. I got everything down pretty quickly, only thing I had a problem with was stalling because I wasn't easing the clutch out.
But that was taken care of quickly. I'm fairly certain I'm going to pass the class, my instructor believes so as well.
But go figure someone has to dump their bike. Two girls in my class. Both dumped their bikes. One dumped hers only once, and it was cause of the side stand, so no biggie.
This other girl comes in and tells us she has a Ducati Monster. Comes in with a Joe Rocket jacket, fancy gloves, and a pretty nice helmet. Dumps her Eliminator 4. Freaking. Times. Once standing up, two moving, and the last time taking a corner. Her problem? She didn't look into the corner. She looked at the guard rail, and low-sided.
Ambulance came, she got carted away. I don't think she's going to be passing anytime soon. Figures. There weren't a lot of older people. A few, yes, but most in our class were 20's-30's.
And then you have the 'experienced' rider with a CBR954 who tells me that he usually rides with just a t-shirt. Yeah. Staying away from him. On the flip side, he did take to the lessons as fast as I did, so I guess he has some skills.
So yeah, that was relatively enjoyable, even though I was straddling an uncomfortable Nighthawk all day. I can't wait for tomorrow.

I just got back from my first day on the range too. I was intimitated at first, watching the morning class zoom around. After the first 2 exercises though I felt much more comfortable.
My biggest problem, slow tight cone weaving...seems like the bike I was on was real jumpy when first applying gas, might be a throttle control issue.
Everything else was easy and fun!
We had one drop out in the first hour or so....quite honestly I don't know if she could spell CAT.
Looking forward to tomorrow, although I imagine the difficulty is going to ramp up quite a bit.
On a positive note, my friend's brother is selling a 650 V-star that I'm going to pick up for a decent price.

I passed! Never dropped it, and above that, only got -3. When I was on that bike in MSF, I felt like I was born to ride. It's amazing. So I'm happy now. Next, gear, then, I'm gonna start looking for a bike.
