New rider in the northwest
New rider in the northwest
Hey everyone,
After having fantasies of motorcycle rides for I have no idea how long, and enough prodding from friends, I finally took the plunge! I live in Oregon, so I took the Team Oregon beginner class, and I learned more than I thought was possible; I've noticed that some of the information they taught is even extremely helping while driving a "cage."
I now have my own bike as well. After tirelessly searching craigslist for a good deal, I decided on a 1981 suzuki gn400. Problems: Bad headlight, bad rear turn signals, possible bad throttle cable. Good: man, is it a beauty, in my eyes at least. It was also pretty cheap, which is always good on a students budget. Ran very well on the test drive.
Well, I don't want to drag this post on any more than I have to. Hoepfully I'll hear from some fellow GN riders since they seem to be so rare, and maybe some others from the Pacific northwest. Good riding!

Here are some pictures of my bike. I hope the pretty model I used doesn't distract any one too badly

EDIT: Think I have my pictures figured out. Hopefully this looks a bit better
