Horrible NEWS!

#1 Unread post by Artticus »

So i've been riding my motorcycle for about a week and loving it. Wife is on the back and we are living in southern California (where the weather is always nice) pull up to a stop light, rev the engine alittle... Light turns green.. Pull the throttle hear a snap and throttle goes totally loose.

Turns out my throttle cables both broke. Since i have an 1982 honda it will take a week to get the part!!! :?

I hate seeing her just sit there i know she misses me =(

The only thing that comes to mind is WAAH!!!
I always follow the rules.
The only exception to the rule occurs when I make an exception to the rule not to make an exception to the rule and that only occurs under exceptional circumstances.

I lucked out when my throttle cable snapped. The return cable was the one that snapped due to rust and the accelerator was still good though it would constantly cause the engine to flood. That was until I just separated the return cable and it ran just fine.

You should've went to BikeBandit.com to get that cable to you faster.

I tired to get them from bikebandit but they were like 20 bucks more!

I ordered them online but it seemed like all of them were going to take 10 days to get to me.

There was actually a shop here that had the accelerator cable in a warehouse but not the return. Also wanted me to pay like 45 bucks a cable.

I feel your pain. I can't even sit on mine right now and make vroom vroom noises; it's in several pieces in my garage right now, waiting for various new parts. AND the weather forecast is perfect this weekend. I'm crossing my fingers all goes well.

Godspeed to the fedex/UPS driver bringing you your new cable.

I feel your pain, my clutch cable gave up the ghost a week ago. Luckily I cut down my bike-less days to just 2.
