Im sure this couldn't be easier but i can't work out the problem... i left my 1989 cg out over winter and now ive decided to fix it up for kicks and giggles but everytime i start the engine and put it into gear (with the clutch engaged) the rear wheel shoots forwards and the chain goes well loose. i have reset the wheel and chain to the right position but it keeps happening. i have been able to go for a ride on it and the clutch feels alrite, it's never been great, so i wud have thought that it wudn't engage gear when my left hand is closed.
Any ideas would be very welcome.
My battered old cg125 wont stay fixed

There should be a couple of spacers between the wheel and swingarm that'll allow the singarm to tighten into the wheel. Sounds like one of them might be missing.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

If the back wheel shifts inside the swingarm when you put it in gear you've either put it together wrong, or not tightened it enough.
