I had a friend who used to drag race, and he used an air shifter. does anyone know if this would be appropriate for street use? The bike was strip only, wheelie bars and the like.

Yeah, like I said in my post, Kliktronic or Pingel. All the shifter does is move the gear shift lever. Does nothing to up any kind of "performance" that would matter on the street.

On the track, it does reduce shift time and makes for consistent shifts at full throttle. Basically, the name of the game in drag racing is scrape off as much time as you can, anywhere.

Of course, you can race around on the street, but may not last too long

Kliktronic -Sounds great and probably the exact thing I was looking for.

I may pay them a visit to see if they have a bike I can test before buying.

Cheers for all the help

From this quick search:

http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl ... tnG=Search

it appears heal-toe conversions are available. (check the fourth hit of the search). Not sure how well they would work in the sport bike configuration.
